Applicants cannot register the following types of trademarks:

• Marks that go against moral principles or public safety/order


• Common or generic terms


• Flags, names, or symbols of countries or international organizations


• Marks lacking distinctiveness


• Marks primarily used as geographical names


• Marks with geographical indications


• Marks used mainly for advertising


• Scientific, literary, and artistic terms
