The following types of trademarks cannot be registered in Belarus:
- Trademarks that violate public morals or policies
- Trademarks featuring international, regional, state, or national names, flags, or symbols
- Trademarks lacking distinctiveness
- Trademarks considered generic
- Trademarks primarily used as surnames or family names
- Trademarks that describe the purpose of the goods or services
- Trademarks using universal terms or symbols
- Trademarks that depict the shape of a product
- Trademarks that mislead consumers about the product's origin, nature, or producer
- Trademarks that mislead consumers about the origin of spirits, liquors, or wines
- Trademarks that closely resemble another trademark, causing potential consumer confusion
- Trademarks using protected geographic indications
