In this area, the following types of marks cannot be registered:

• Marks that violate moral standards or public order


• Common words or terms with a broad meaning


• Marks without distinctiveness


• Marks that are primarily surnames


• Marks that are primarily geographic names


• Marks using flags, symbols, or names of international organizations, countries, regions, or nations
