What types of trademarks cannot be registered in Lithuania?

In Lithuania, trademark law does not allow the registration of the following types of marks:

• Marks that conflict with moral standards or disrupt public order


• Generic terms or commonly used words


• Marks that incorporate flags, names, or symbols of international organizations or countries, states, or regions


• Marks that lack distinctiveness


• Marks that include the name or surname of a well-known person
