The trademark application process in Latvia involves several stages:

Examination – The trademark authorities will review the application for:- Compliance with formal requirements
- Proper classification
- Clarity of the trademark
- Non-descriptiveness
- Distinctiveness
- Non-deceptiveness
- Absolute grounds for registration

Registration – If the application successfully passes the examination, the trademark office will approve the registration. At this stage, potential conflicts with existing trademarks have not yet been assessed. -
Publication – The details of the trademark will be published, allowing third parties to file objections. The publication will include:- The trademark itself

- Address of the applicant
- Country where the applicant is incorporated
