Once a trademark is registered, the owner gains the following rights:
- The exclusive right to use the trademark
- The right to oppose any later applications that conflict with the trademark
- The right to seek cancellation of any later registrations that conflict with the trademark
- The right to take legal action against anyone infringing on the trademark
- The right to seek compensation from those who have infringed on the trademark
- The right to permit others to use the trademark
- The right to request the seizure of counterfeit goods being imported
