The application process consists of three main phases: examination, registration, and publication.
-
Examination – The Norway Trademark Office reviews the application for formalities, classifications, clarity, descriptiveness, deceptiveness, distinctiveness, and potential conflicts with other applications. -
Registration – If there are no challenges or oppositions during the prosecution process, the office issues a registration certificate. -
Publication – The trademark is published in the Norwegian Official Trademarks Gazette.
