What types of trademarks cannot be registered in Slovakia?

The following types of trademarks cannot be registered:

• Marks that conflict with moral standards or public order


• Generic terms or common words


• Names, flags, or symbols of international organizations, countries, regions, or states


• Marks that primarily represent a geographic location


• Marks lacking distinctiveness


• Marks that could mislead the public about the origin, quality, or nature of the goods or services


• Marks containing religious symbols or signs of significant value
