A registration can be cancelled for the following reasons:

• No genuine use

• Use of a geographical indication


• Generic or common terms


• Conflicts with a personal name


• Conflicts with registered designs


• Conflicts with trade names


• Registered under a representative's name


• Use of protected flags, emblems, or armorial bearings


• Conflicts with a well-known or notorious mark


• Proprietary rights issues


• Copyright infringement


• Descriptive, non-distinctive, functional, or misleading/disparaging/deceptive mark
