The following types of trademarks cannot be registered:
- Marks that go against moral standards or public order
- Generic terms
- Names, flags, or symbols of countries, regions, or international organizations (unless permitted)
- Marks conflicting with Islamic principles or Shari'ah law
- Marks lacking distinctive features
- Marks that are primarily geographic names
- Symbols like the Red Crescent or Red Cross and similar symbols
- Names, flags, or symbols of states, regions, or organizations without permission
- Marks resembling religious symbols
- Names, titles, portraits, or emblems of a person without their or their heirs' consent
- Marks that are geographical names
- Marks that could mislead the public or contain false information
- Information about honors that the applicant cannot prove eligibility for
- Marks that are translations of a famous or previously registered mark
- Marks featuring local or foreign medals, coins, or currency
- Marks that would devalue other products or services if registered
- Marks owned by individuals or companies with whom business is prohibited
- Marks containing the following words or terms:
- "franchise"
- "franchise holder"
- "registered"
- "registered design"
- "copyright"
- "imitation will be considered as a forgery"
- or any similar words or terms
