• The mark is descriptive


• The mark is generic


• The mark lacks distinctiveness


• The mark serves a functional purpose


• The mark is misleading, disparaging, or deceptive


• It involves protection of armorial bearings, state emblems, and flags


• The mark includes a geographical indication


• The mark goes against public policy or moral principles


• The mark is used in a misleading way


• The mark is banned in this jurisdiction


• The application was made in bad faith


• The mark has not been used for two consecutive years
