What types of trademarks cannot be registered in China?

The following types of trademarks cannot be registered:

• Trademarks that violate China's moral standards or disrupt public order


• Common words or terms that are generic


• Symbols, flags, or names associated with a country, region, or international organization


• Trademarks that do not have distinctive characteristics


• Trademarks that primarily describe a geographical location


• Trademarks that could mislead consumers
