What are the reasons for which a registration can be canceled in Puerto Rico?

Registration can be canceled for the following reasons:

• Violation of proprietary rights


• The mark is considered generic


• The mark lacks distinctiveness


• The mark serves a functional purpose


• The mark is misleading, deceptive, or disparaging


• Registration was done in bad faith


• The mark contradicts public policy or moral principles


• The mark has been abandoned


• The mark is prohibited in this jurisdiction


• Other reasons based on specific case circumstances
