The following types of trademarks cannot be registered:

• Marks that go against moral standards or public order


• Common words or terms


• Names, symbols, or flags of countries, states, and international organizations


• Marks lacking distinctiveness


• Marks primarily used as names of geographic locations


• Fragrances


• Audio elements
